Lip Blush Tattoo in Mississauga

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that adds soft, diffused colour and definition to the lips. The result is not heavy or opaque — it's closer to the look of your lips on a good day, with more definition, more even tone, and a natural flush of colour that doesn't smudge, fade by midday, or need reapplying after every coffee.

Premium Lip Blush

Lip blush is about the healed result you live with — even tone, clearer definition, and a soft flush that still looks like your lips. At My Beauty Space we select pigment for your undertone and the finish you want after healing, because fresh colour always reads darker and more saturated than the settled result. Expect that intensity to soften through peeling and the ghosting phase before the true tone shows.

Important: Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattooing service performed by a dedicated specialist. It is not a medical treatment or a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare provider. Seek medical advice for infections, allergic reactions, or if you have conditions that may affect healing. A consultation screens suitability before any work begins.

What to expect — the healing process

Healing takes 4–6 weeks in total. Here is what the process looks like:

Days 1–3: Lips appear swollen and the colour is much more intense than the final result — sometimes appearing 30–40% darker. This is normal and temporary.

Days 4–7: Peeling begins and the colour may appear to almost disappear. This is referred to as the ghosting phase — the pigment is temporarily hidden beneath the healing skin. Do not pick at peeling skin.

Weeks 2–3: Colour begins to resurface softer and more natural as the skin regenerates. The final tone starts to become visible.

Week 4–6: Skin is fully healed and the true result is visible. Any areas where pigment didn't retain evenly are addressed at the touch-up appointment.

Aftercare

Aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment. Key rules during healing: keep lips moisturized with the recommended healing balm, avoid hot, spicy, or acidic foods for the first few days, don't drink through straws for at least 3–5 days, avoid swimming, saunas, and heavy sweating, and do not apply lipstick or lip makeup for at least 10 days.

If you are prone to cold sores, consult your doctor about antiviral medication before and after the procedure — lip tattooing can trigger an outbreak in clients with a history of herpes simplex.

Touch-up appointments

A touch-up is a standard part of the lip blush process. Once fully healed at 4–6 weeks, the touch-up perfects the shape and colour and fills any areas where pigment didn't retain as expected. Touch-up appointments are available at 4–10 weeks and 10 weeks to 1 year for ongoing maintenance.

Lip blush typically lasts 2–3 years before a refresh is needed, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure.

Who it's for

Lip blush suits clients who want to simplify their makeup routine, correct uneven lip tone, add definition to a lip line that has lost clarity with age, or simply wake up with lips that look naturally healthy without effort.

Complete the look with powder brows. Add permanent eyeliner to your visit.

Complimentary refreshments are included with every appointment.
